WEEEEEEKEEEEEEND!!!!!

I survived my first week!

There were no classes this morning, so I got started on my laundry. I only washed my chef’s uniform, since that was all I needed for today. Rest will get done tomorrow morning I guess.

We did have Meat Fab this afternoon. The regular chef instructor is on vacation until after next week, so we have a substitute who is really cool. He didn’t mind helping people who needed it, he answered questions, and was just a great guy. We hacked up and tied pork roasts today, and were done an hour early. At the end of class, the chef offered the opportunity to work Saturday afternoon to help prepare dinner. Since I’m a new student, I won’t be doing anything more than chopping stuff, but I can certainly use the practice with my knife skills. And, I get paid for it! Since it’s outside normal school hours, and I am contributing to dinner, it’s considered a paying job. Every little bit helps. 🙂

It’s a nice weekend too, so I hope I can get out and do something.
