We put the Labor in Labor Day

One of Paula’s church friends gave us a pile of wood, we just had to cut it and move it. So on Labor Day (how fitting) we took a U-Haul trailer and a rented wood splitter to Milford. One of her co-workers, as well as her boss and his three kids, set about hacking and stacking while I ran the splitter. Took us about three hours, but we ended up with two truck beds filled as well as half our trailer. We brought it all home, finished splitting down the larger pieces, and left it all in a huge pile. So now we have roughly 2-3 cords of wood (including some we already had from her sister’s yard) that cost us… nothing! Free heat! Woo! Oh, and I got sunburn, also at no cost to us.
