One of life's little questions...
Why is it that the instructors you have the worst start with end up being really cool?
This is the second time we had an issue about scheduling. The first one, in AM Cafeteria, the chef wanted us to come in over Memorial Day weekend, and when we refused, we were told that there would be demerits issued. We fought that battle and won, but despite that initial drama the Chef ended up being very easy and fun to work with. So now this one for AM Grill, there was a last minute schedule change and we didn’t find out about it. Yesterday, we showed up half an hour late for class and got sent home. Again, we had to go to administration and plead our case, and we won. So today we go into class expecting the worst, but instead the Chef was willing to just forget that it happened and move ahead, and started out the day as if it was day one. He told us what we had to do, helped us to do it, and we kicked butt. He was really impressed with our performance, and really laid back and cool about everything. Go figure. This is going to be a decent class after all.
