Two down, one more day!
Meat Fab test wasn’t as tough as I thought it would be. The math was easy, I just goofed on two of them because I used the wrong number in one of the formulas. Partial credit. I also made a dumb mistake on the chart for Beef Primals (I knew the answer, I just wrote it down so fast to get it over with that I wrote the wrong thing.) Also missed a definition (a malpeque is an oyster found near Prince Edward Island.) Came out with a 90% on both parts, which is Exceeds Expectations. I was very surprised that I did that well. I knew I had passed, but Exceeds? Wow.
Today in our last Meat Fab course we’re going to be given an assignment and then set loose. We’re going to be expected to work without direction, as a group. If we have questions, we are to ask each other. We need to observe food temperatures and take measurements without being reminded.
We’re in trouble.
This morning I met with the Student Tutoring Coordinator, and became a Peer Tutor for Computers and Writing. Tutoring sessions go towards my community service time, Graduation with Distinction credit, or I get paid for it. Sweet. The Student Services Coordinator is trying to find paperwork to sign me up as a Computer Lab Monitor as well, which makes sense if I am going to be tutoring.
Weather permitting, I’ll be riding home for a few days. I can always take the bus if it pours, but that’s expensive.
