Tonight, a woman came in and wanted a round trip ticket to Montreal to leave at like 3:30am, checking in one bag. Every time I punched it into the ticket system, it crashed. Made me go out, log back in, start over, crash again. Rebooted the system. Twenty years in computers and we still have to reboot whenever something doesn’t work right. Get back in, try again. No soup for you. On a whim I changed it to 0 bags, and it went right through. Took her money, handed her the ticket, have a day.
Called support, told them what I did, and what it did. She said, sounding like I just woke her up, “it does that.” No lie. It just does that. Okay, so if they KNOW that it does that, why doesn’t someone FIX that?
And people wonder why I got out of tech support.
