One Down...

Passed the Inventory Management class with 100% today. It was all math, and I wasn’t really worried about it. Tomorrow I have to give a 15 mninute oral presentation on peppers, then we’re done with that class. (Shame, Chef Joe was a great instructor.) I dunno if I did enough to be considered “Exceeds Expectations” but I can’t say that I didn’t try. There were two people who failed the test due to missing steps in the problems, and one who didn’t show up for some reason. All three will be taking the test tomorrow.

I turned in my three assignments for Intro to Computers, and with luck he’ll see fit to give me an “Exceeds” in that one. Hell I could teach that class; I have been asked to meet with the Student Tutoring Coordinator about becoming a tutor in computers. Bwahahaha…

The Meat Fab final is tomorrow. I think I’ve done about all the studying for that as I can. It’s all gonna be meat primals, definitions, and math. Same math as in Inv Mgt, and we had to pretty much memorize all the primals in beef. For example: the Short Loin primal is divided into the Boneless Strip Loin (NY Steaks) the Bone-In Strip Loin (Kansas City Steaks) and the Bone-in Tenderloin (Porterhouse and T-Bones.) There are seven other primals, and we have to know all of them and their subprimals, their cuts, and portion cuts. We also have to know lamb, veal, pork, shellfish, and seafood. I don’t expect to get 100% on that one, but we need at least an 80% to pass. Yeah, me worry…
